The Cottage Pueblo Parking Structure is the first of two parking structures for the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital expansion and rehabilitation of the existing hospital. It is located at the corner of Pueblo and Castillo Streets directly across the street from the new main entrance to the hospital in the City of Santa Barbara, California.

The design of the new parking structure reflects the Spanish Colonial Revival style of architecture which began in the 1920’s and is so prevalent in Santa Barbara.

The parking structure is four and one half levels including one subterranean level and contains 635 parking spaces for physicians, visitors and patients with the physician parking nested in the lower level of the garage.  In addition the parking structure incorporates approximately 1,000 square feet of retail deli space at the intersection of Pueblo and Castillo Streets as well as secured bicycle parking area with washroom and shower facilities.

The project required extensive design review from the City Design Review Board as it was located on a historically significant site. The project was meticulously detailed using various architectural elements of the 1920’s to make up the Spanish Revival vocabulary required for all Santa Barbara Projects
